Satab has developed new elastic bands for masks and visors used in the fight against COVID-19.
At the end of 2020, the company acquired 16 knitting machines for surgical mask elastics and 27 knitting machines for FFP2 mask elastics.
To meet this high demand for elastics, a new building has been erected. A total of 4,000 m² now houses manufacturing, raw materials storage, equipment, finished products and a dedicated logistics organisation.
Satab now has a production capacity of 7 million metres of elastic per week. Around 17.5 million masks a week are made using these elastics.
